To protect your valuables, you need to purchase Recovery ID ID labels, which can be purchased at several retail locations or online from our website. Once you've purchased your labels, simply affix them to all of your valuable items and register them through our website.
5. What happens when I lose something?.
You don't have to do anything at all. We'll contact you immediately when your items are found and arrange for its safe return. If you wish, you can also use our website to report your loss, change the reward, or write a message or special return instructions to finders.
6. How does Recovery ID know what items are mine?.
When you purchase any product from Recovery ID, you receive uniquely coded ID labels. No two ID labels are alike. Our recovery system matches the number on each ID label to the owner of an item.

Upon confirmation that the lost item has been returned to its rightful owner, every finder is presented with Recovery ID’s standard reword of $20.95 worth of Recovery ID Labels, this is cost free to owners, as well as a letter of thanks on behalf of the owner.
Additionally, our system provides clients with the option of offering extra cash reward for any or all of their registered valuables. Clients set their own amount, and this reward is strictly optional.
There are two types of cash rewards available:

12. What are finders expected to do with the item?.
Finders simply have to phone the toll-free number or visit our website to report the loss and Recovery ID takes care of the item’s recovery from there. Finders are not expected to deliver anything. Recovery ID will arrange the courier collection with them.

When you register with Recovery ID, your ID labels are good for the life of the item they are protecting.

Our recovery service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year through our Recovery ID website.
15. What does Recovery ID's service cost?.
Recovery ID's ongoing protection is completely free. You are only charged when you purchase labels or if you request payment of an extra cash reward to the finder.
16. How do I activate my Recovery ID ID labels?.
To activate your Recovery ID ID labels, simply go to "Activate Labels" and enter the Label ID Number. From there, you provide the corresponding information for the labeled item that you have chosen to protect.
17. Can I get all my labels with the same ID.
Each of our labels has its own unique ID Number. No two labels are the same. This allows us to identify which item(s) have been lost. You will need to activate each label individually.
18. What do I do with my free Recovery ID Label?.
To activate your free Recovery ID ID labels, simply go to "Activate Labels" and enter the Label ID Number. From there, you provide the corresponding information for the labeled item (items) that you have chosen to protect.
19. How do I change my personal information?.
In order to change any personal information or delete an item go to "My Account". From there you must enter your username and password. You will then be able to change all of your personal information including your username, password, address, phone number, etc.
