Recovery ID is a "Lost & Found" service that helps you get back your missing possessions. Just place our Recovery ID stickers and tags on all your important items. Then if something is misplaced, the sticker tells the finder how to return it easily, and get a reward too.
Today people carry more portable devices than ever before and any of these can easily go missing. Contrary to popular belief, most items are lost, not stolen. However, most are never returned to their rightful owners due to a lack of identification and convenient return process.
No single figure captures the magnitude of these losses; however, research indicates it is extremely large. Lost & found departments are bursting with cell phones, laptops, cameras of all kinds, and myriad other items - most never reunited with their owners.
When a lost item is found, most people want to return it but have no idea who it belongs to or where to return it. The Recovery ID system simply provides them with an easy and effective way to do the right thing.
How Recovery IDs work
1. Clients affix our Recovery ID labels to their valuable items and register them through our web site. Each Recovery ID is unique no matter what system you may use.
2. When a Recovery ID item is lost, the RID sticker instructs the finder to contact us and offers a reward for doing so.
3. Recovery ID arranges for the item's reward to be sent to the finder with no cost to you.
4. All finders receive at a minimum Recovery ID's standard reward of $24.95 worth of Recovery ID's stickers for their help. Our clients also have the option of offering them an additional cash reward.
Safe and Confidential
Recovery ID's allow our clients to protect their valuable items using anonymous RID numbers instead of personal information. All returns are facilitated through our protected (hack proof) web service, so the owner and the finder don't have to meet and private information does not need to be exchanged.
